Claudia was born 25 August 1970 in Rheinberg, West Germany. While growing up, she perceived her height and skinny figure to be a disadvantage and tried not to be noticed because of that. But in 1987, 17 year old Claudia was scouted in Düsseldorf and began her professional modeling career. Besides of modeling, she appeared also in several movies, including Richie Rich, Black and White and Zoolander.
She was engaged to David Copperfield and appeared in his shows. She married Matthew Vaughn in 2002 and she has three children named Clementine, Cosima, and Caspar.
She has been compared in both looks and attitude to former French model Brigitte Bardot.
